When an Xbox turns on but produces no image, the cause may be a damaged HDMI connector, a cable or television issue, display settings or a fault in the console's video circuitry. The visible symptom is the same, but the required repair can be very different.
Start with the external connection
Test a known-good HDMI cable and another input on the television. Confirm that the television is set to the correct source and inspect both ends of the cable for damage.
Look for physical HDMI damage
A loose port, bent pins or a connector pushed inward can interrupt the video signal. Damage often occurs when the console falls while a cable is connected or when the plug is forced.
